
Adeeb Barqawi is the President & CEO of ProUnitas Inc., which, through its technology PurpleSENSE and technical assistance, helps school districts identify and respond to student needs in a more timely and integrated way, ensuring every student is supported, stays in school, and graduates with purpose.
A former vaccine scientist and award-winning Teach for America Corps Member, Adeeb is the recipient of the Kinder Foundation Excellence in Teaching Award and Texas ACP Beginner Teacher of the Year. He holds degrees from Georgetown University in Physiology and Biophysics, Johns Hopkins University—where he was honored with the JHU Alumni Association Outstanding Recent Graduate Award—and Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was recognized among VCU Alumni’s 10 Under 10.
As a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum and alumnus of the Center for Houston’s Future Leadership Forum, Adeeb has been featured in Texas Monthly and recognized by The Houston Chronicle as one of five individuals shaping Houston’s future. He also served on the Texas Long Range Plan for Public Education steering committee.
